Installation For Baptistry Heater
Assemble and make up tightly the complete heater and parts as shown (except slip joint nuts). Locate the most accessible place around the Baptistry for installation. Drill a 2-1/8" diameter hole 4-1/2" up from the Baptistry floor. Smooth hole and install chrome faced inlet flush port, by loosening at slip joint nut. Apply clear RTV sealant under chrome flange. Remove any outside insulation so port rubber gasket fits against outside of fiberglass wall. Measure center to center distance exactly between inlet and outlet fittings. Locate and drill a 2-1/8" hole for top port using method stated above.
Assemble complete baptistry heater onto installed ports. Important - Block under heater or pump to support weight - this prevents leakage of Baptistry wall fittings.
Heaters are shipped with special Installation Instructions regarding wiring, etc.
Caution:
Be certain baptistry heater is turned off before draining Baptistry. Always fill Baptistry before turning the baptistry heater on. Dry operation will burn out heating element, and cause failure of the pump.
